Everything from soil testing, and irrigation/fertilization schedules, to aerification, overseeding, compost topdressing and drainage correction. We can also provide analysis and recommendations for sod vs seeding on new lawns.

 



 

 

Drainage Improvement/Correction

Improper drainage causes numerous problems such as poor lawn quality, decline of plant materials, wet basements, and the inability to use, and eventual structural damage to walkways, patios, stone/retaining walls and driveways. Lewis Brothers has solved hundreds of drainage problems with successful solutions such as subsurface drainage systems, French drains, perimeter connections, gutter downspout connections and catch basins. Surface drainage or runoff problems can also often be solved by redirecting excess water through grade changes and the installation of berms and swales. ​​

 

 

​Pruning/ Tree Removal

Lewis Brothers provides lot clearing and selective removal of trees for new and existing home sites. Hardwood can be cut into lengths or split and stacked. We can also chip on site or remove unwanted wood.



 

Bentgrass Surfaces

With years of golf course experience, we can assist with installation and maintenance of fine turfgrass playing surfaces for tennis, croquet, bocce and even home putting greens. Our residential experience includes croquet courts in Cape Elizabeth and Orr's Island, a tennis court in Yarmouth and putting greens in Falmouth, Cumberland and Cousins Island.
